I just spent my first swim with the Z2 fins and they are great.  They increased my speed by 30%, and provide a greater work out in less time.  They are small enough to do turns, and provide the speed, without a great load on your legs.  I use the Speedo Swim Gloves, and together they provide a work out that is uniform on the arms and legs.  Great product!

I exchanged the Zip Fins for these Z2 Fins and the Z2 fits great ... very easy to slip on and off.  I was hoping for a fin that would perform well on flip turns and allow me to ride up higher in the water, and reduce the stress on my shoulders and arms so that I could extend my workouts to longer distances.   The Z2 scores an A+ in all 3 categories.  
I would recommend reading the instruction sheet; they advise starting easy so that you don't overload leg muscles that don't normally do much work (i.e. back of your upper leg).  Now I can feel leg muscles getting a gradual workout, but it is not a killer workout where your legs will be dying on you.  It is a very balanced workout for your legs while allowing you to swim further distances because your arms & shoulders are not doing so much work.   This product has really helped me rehab my shoulder after surgery.

I use these as well as my 5, 8 and 12 yr old. They really get your heart pumping as you move f-a-s-t!!! They really help in streamlining throughout laps and have given no problems on turns for any of us. They have the perfect flexibility. We like them tight on our feet. (FYI-The instep is very flat.) They are like a second skin. You hardly realize you have them on. Great for increasing speed and form.
